Academic achievement is an important aspect to our Program here at Eagle's Nest School. Eagle's Nest School is fully accredited school through NCA- North Central Association -commission on Accreditation and School Improvement.

We offer a blend of an independent, self-paced curriculum and personal individualized education with accredited teachers covering grades 7 through 12 and beyond. Academic study will occupy 5 hours per day, 4 days per week, for their entire stay. The school year ends in June and report cards are generated and sent out approximately every two months. The new school year begins in July.

This will provide your son with opportunities to work at their own speed and ability to catch up, maintain and even advance their course work beyond their standard grade level.

Standardized Testing is utilized to assess skills in reading, writing, math and oral language. Test results will be communicated to the guardian, parent and to the student.

As part of the enrollment process, our Academic Director will assess the student's transcript for credits still needed towards graduation and develop long term and short term goals with the student. An individual academic plan will be created and adapted over the student's stay. Upon the student's return home, the Academic Director will communicate with the new school and send transcripts.

The coursework is divided between Novel Star Interactive Curriculum (accredited by the Northwest Association of Accredited Schools (NAAS) and standard classroom work with certified teachers. In addition to advancing your son's academic achievement we are also dedicated to awakening and supporting their creative nature, be that in the arts, writing, music or drama. Classroom instruction is divided between book work, papers, projects, presentations, creative writing, audio/visual activities, and field trips to engage the whole mind, spirit and body.
